Distinction

Of course, Artifex is focused on more than the design element of home building. The architect's blue print included an option for a more interesting looking roof than a traditional gable style. Rather than having a straightforward triangular shaped roof, this home was built with more appealing intersecting roof lines. A roof with intersecting lines is more difficult to build but was completed per the architect's specifications.

Artifex was able to combine quality craftsmanship and current architectural styles in effective ways elsewhere in the house. We created a paneled look in the dining room by using drywall to form a faux paneling, which, again, saved the clients’ money without sacrificing the esthetic. We also created a visual theme inspired by a long ellipse arch that was present in the custom ordered kitchen cabinets.

The Cabinets were custom ordered from local suppliers Orchard Hills Cabinets on Western near Lake. Inspired by the kitchen, this gradual arch is present in rooms elsewhere in the house, including the dining room and the entry ways between the dining and living rooms, and the kitchen and the family room.
