What's New

This spring, Artifex SOLD OUT the six unit Cuyler Trees project in just three weeks! Signs for this North Center Project at W. Cuyler St. hadn't even been posted before all six condos were under contract.

Artifex is currently reinterpreting a classic 3 unit Greystone in Wrigleyville. Featuring vintage charm, luxury details and views of the Cubs, this project, located at 1249 W. Addison, will be on the market in mid-October. See attached appendix 1.

Artifex hosted a Lakeview Chamber of Commerce "Wired Wednesday" on Sept 5 with attendees from many local businesses including designers, real estate agencies, and bankers.

This winter, Artifex flexed its philanthropic muscle by building a beautiful commerical kitchen for First Slice, run by noted chef Mary Ellen Diaz, formerly of North Pond restaurant. Located in the Lill Street Studio building, First Slice is a non-profit Ravenswood organization which feeds high-quality, gourmet meals to homeless teens. A typical meal at First Slice might include lemon roasted tilapia with roasted asparagus, Spanish rice dishes and always plenty of pie. Artifex donated field supervision, demolition, dropped ceiling work and cabinetry installation. Other donations were made by electrician Bing Carlson, Vince McHugh of Hines Lumber, Tim O'Hagan of Perfection Closets, and Bob McDonald of Dal Tile. Discounted time and/or materials were provided by Thybony Paint, stone installer Peter Mroziak, carpenter Michal Brada and plumber Danko Jonic. This project was profiled in a March 22, 2007 Chicago Tribune article.

Coming in 2008! Artifex will build six designer-detailed condominiums on W. Roscoe in Wrigleyville, steps away from Redmonds on Sheffield. These 1,300 sq ft units will feature open gourmet kitchen spilling out to TimberTech terraces and many more luxury features in a classic Chicago style. Parking included. Simplex units for under $400,000.
